FAQ
Product Questions
Our 4oz candles tend to last 20 hours or more, while 8oz candles last 30 hours or more.
Not usually. We pre-trim all wicks before capping and sealing your candle. However, if the flame burns too high, you can trim your wick about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the wax. Don't trim your wick too much, however, or your wick won't stay lit.
Your first burn should be between 30 minutes and 1 hour: long enough for the wax "pool" to cover the entire diameter of the candle. This will help your candle melt evenly during future burns. Avoid burning for longer than 2 hours at a time. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
We love wooden wicks! In our opinion, they create a more premium candle experience than cotton wicks do. They're also easier to work with, and they have an awesome crackle sound when they're lit. Sometimes, when the wick is first lit, the flame can get a bit high. However, the flame returns to normal size after a few seconds.
No, we do not sell anything that's blessed. If you wish to have your candles blessed, bring them to your priest and ask for a blessing. He should be happy to help!

Tunneling is when your candle burns straight down around the wick, creating a deep tunnel and burning out your wick before all the wax is melted and used up. The best way to prevent tunneling is on your very first burn, allow the candle to be lit between 30 minutes and 1 hour, long enough for the wax "pool" to extend the entire diameter of the candle. If your candle does tunnel, you can always pop it in the oven (on a baking sheet) at a low temp (200 degrees or less) until it completely melts. Carefully remove it from the oven and allow it to cool and completely harden again before lighting again. Do not place candles in the microwave!
